Units can earn experience points in a number of ways (and also lose them if they perform badly). The chart below lists the different ways in which experience can be gained and lost.
This covers three things: how Transport Vehicles earn (or don't earn) Battle Honours, how Independent Characters earn experience apart from any squad they join, and the specific Earning Experience point awards themselves.
