Options: Up to three models in the unit may be armed with one of the following weapons: plasma gun at +10 pts; meltagun at +10 pts; flamer at +6 pts; plasma pistol at +10 pts.

A Raptor unit may be given the Mark of Chaos Undivided and may have one or more Veteran skills.

Character: The squad may be an Aspiring Champion at +13 pts. The Aspiring Champion may select additional equipment from the Chaos Armoury.

Special Rules

Daemonkin: Raptors have the Daemonic Flight and Daemonic Visage gifts and may use the Hit and Run rule.

Hit and Run: At the end of a round of close combat the Raptors may choose to break off if they and at least some of their close combat opponents do not have to fall back. The unit falls back 3D6" in any direction and automatically regroups at the end of the move (regardless of enemy within 6" or being below half strength). Enemy models that were in close combat with them before the break-off may only consolidate.

Errata — Chapter Approved: Codex: Chaos Space Marines Q&A (v3.0): Raptors may not be carried in a Land Raider or any other vehicle with transport capacity. If a Raptor unit bears the Mark of Chaos Undivided, it is still limited to one Veteran skill like any other Marked unit, despite the "one or more" wording above implying otherwise. An Independent Character with Daemonic Flight who joins a unit of Raptors cannot use their Hit and Run ability, since it isn't a Veteran skill the character himself has.
