Servitor

A Techpriest Enginseer may be accompanied by up to four Servitors. Together they will form a unit. The Servitors may be the same or different types as desired. The types are as follows:

  • Technical Servitors are a common sight in the Imperium. They are not really intended for combat, but are very useful in repairing battlefield equipment, as explained in the Techpriest Enginseer army list entry. Other Servitor types may not help repair battlefield equipment.
  • Combat Servitors are intended to fight in close combat so are equipped with a power fist and a close combat weapon.
  • Gun Servitors are intended to provide fire support for the Techpriest Enginseer while he works. They are armed with one of the following weapons at the cost indicated: multi-melta at +25 pts; heavy bolter at +15 pts; plasma cannon at +35 pts. Only one plasma cannon-armed Gun-servitor can accompany each Techpriest Enginseer.

Errata — Chapter Approved: Codex: Imperial Guard Q&A (v1.0): The Combat Servitor's WS4 above (versus WS3 for the Daemonhunters version of the same unit) is unintentional — but it stands as printed, on the theory that Servitors accompanying an Enginseer have had better programming to cope with battlefield conditions. If the Techpriest Enginseer they accompany is removed as a casualty, the Servitors are removed as well. The full cost of an Enginseer's Servitors counts against his wargear points limit.
