Honorifica Imperialis
This award is one of the highest honours that can be won by all ranks in the Imperial Guard. Whatever the original status of the bearer he will use the same profile as a Heroic Senior Officer. He will not become an independent character or an Officer as a result but will continue in his original role, albeit with better characteristics. The Honorifica Imperialis can be bestowed on Techpriest Enginseers, Priests and other characters in the list that are not Guardsmen per se, in which case it is termed the Honorifica Imperialis Mundanus.
Errata — Chapter Approved: Codex: Imperial Guard Q&A (v1.0): Only the profile is replaced — a bearer's own special rules (a Priest's Fanatical and Righteous Fury, a Commissar's Summary Execution, and so on) are unaffected. There's no reason to give the Honorifica to a model whose own statline is already better than a Heroic Senior Officer's — it only makes sense as an upgrade for models with worse stats. Inducted Imperial Guard in a Daemonhunters army select the Honorifica from the Imperial Guard Armoury, with all its normal restrictions, not the Daemonhunters Armoury.
