Number/squad: These do not count as one of your HQ choices and may be taken in addition to your usual allocation of HQ units in a mission. Each Priest must be attached to a unit as described in the Advisors special rule.
Weapons: Close combat weapon.
Options: Priests have access to the Imperial Guard Armoury. They may not select 'Officer only' items.
Special Rules
Advisors: See the Sanctioned Psykers entry.
Fanatical: A Priest and the unit he is assigned to may re-roll any failed to hit rolls once in the turn they charge while the Priest lives.
Righteous Fury: Such is the rage imbued by a Priest's oratory that a unit including one must charge in the Assault phase if there are enemy in reach. In addition, such is their state of agitation that they always count as moving even if the models are stationary, so would be unable to fire heavy weapons.
Errata — Chapter Approved: Codex: Imperial Guard Q&A (v1.0): The Priest's profile is given differently on the quick reference sheet than in this list entry — this list entry is correct. For the purposes of the Holy Relic's "does not move" restriction, Righteous Fury's always-counts-as-moving effect doesn't itself block revealing the relic — what matters there is whether the model (or unit) actually moved in the Movement phase.
