Special Rules

Hellion skyboard & hellglaive: Special rules apply to the Hellion skyboard and hellglaive. These are included in the Wargear section of this Codex.

Combat Drugs: Hellions are a subset of the Wych cult, and so use combat drugs to artificially boost their abilities. Roll a D6 for each Hellion squad at the start of the battle to see what effect the vile narcotics have on the unit. A separate D6 roll is made for each unit, and the effect lasts for the entire battle. If the Hellion Succubus leading the squad is given a combat drug dispenser, its effects only apply to them and replace the effects of the squad's own evil concoctions.

D6 Result
1 Crazed! Ignores all fall back results, always advances after a combat and never consolidates. Crazed Hellions may not use the Hit and Run rules listed below.
2 +1 WS
3 +1 S
4 Always strikes first
5 Re-roll any misses in close combat.
6 +1 Attack

Deep Strike: Hellions are renowned for their insane diving attacks, they may make use of the Deep Strike scenario special rule where allowed to do so by the scenario being played. If Deep Strike is not in use then the Hellions must set up with the rest of the army.

Hit & Run: Hellions utilise a Hit & Run fighting style. At the end of a round of close combat the Hellions may choose to break off if it and at least some of its close combat opponents do not have to fall back. The unit falls back 3d6" in any direction and automatically regroups at the end of the move (regardless of enemy within 6" or being below half strength). Enemy models that were in close combat with them before the break-off may only consolidate.
