The Dark Eldar are a lithe and agile race, noted for their fleetness of foot. In the shooting phase you may declare that a Dark Eldar unit is going to run instead of shoot. Roll a D6. The result is the distance the unit may move in that shooting phase. This move is not affected by difficult terrain or any other movement restrictions.
The following models may not run:
- Dark Eldar vehicles or jetbikes
- Any model with a saving throw better than 4+, eg Incubi
- Talos or Grotesques
- Hellions or Scourges
Errata — Chapter Approved: Codex: Dark Eldar Q&A (v2.0): It's legal for a unit to disembark 2" from its transport in the Movement phase, then use Fleet of Foot to run in the Shooting phase, then assault — the disembark/move happens in the Movement phase and Fleet of Foot happens in the Shooting phase, so there's no conflict between them.
